Android Apps
So, let's start with Android. Talking about Android or Phone Wallpapers, we actually have two major contenders among which both of them are good in their different ways. So without any further ado, let's get our first contender in the ring...
Zedge
So, here do we have our first app and probably the best in this list as speaking in terms of Android apps. Zedge is a Norwegian company which has been started in 2003 as a website but now it has its own app which you can easily find on the Google Play Store. Zedge offers you a variety of content ranging from Wallpapers, Video Wallpapers, Ringtones and so on. It also has great collection of wallpapers including of all genres. You can easily find some cool ringtones and notification sounds just by searching through the search icon on the top right corner of the screen or you can simply go through some of the ringtones by clicking on the Ringtones tab in the menu bar. It also offers you some great video wallpapers which will look fantastic on the kind of displays coming in nowadays smartphones. But it will obviously suck up a little bit of extra energy from your phone. Well, now the question arises that if this app is so great then why do we have two contenders. And that is because this app has some major problems too. The first one of which is that it contains Ads which will at least be there for 5 seconds and then the option to skip the Ad appears. But they will keep coming on every few minutes. But this is not the only problem. It doesn't show you the resolution of the wallpaper which you are trying to set. It also has another demerit that it is not a free app. It's true that it doesn't charges a lot which is Rs.85($1.12) for three months and Rs.199($2.61) for a year. But if you're looking for something free, then this app is not for you. It also offers a 3-day free trial, so if anyone is interested in taking the premium plan, he or she can try it out for three days.

Wallpapers and Backgrounds
Wallpapers and Backgrounds is an Android app developed by WallpapersCraft | WallCraft which I have been using from a long time now and have used some brilliant looking wallpapers in my phone. It has a feature which was lacking in Zedge that it allows you to set the wallpaper of the resolution you want among the three different options (Low, Mid and High). It also offers you a great collection of Wallpapers divided in different sections such as Hits, Exclusive, Latest, and Double Wallpapers. It also offers you different categories i.e. Abstract, 3D, Anime, Art, Space and many more. It also has a Premium version costing 0.99$/month and 8.90$ as onetime payment. But it also works as a free version but with some included Ads. It will obviously not offer you ringtones and notification sound but it will surely not disappoint you in Wallpapers. It also shows the history of wallpapers you have used on your phone so if you want to use it again, you can easily find it in the History section. Another exclusive feature of this this app which only comes in the paid version is double wallpapers which is actually a set of Lock screen and Home screen wallpaper which look like the consecutive frames of a video. It is a really good app and you can check it out if interested.

Wallpapers for Windows and Mac OS
So now after having discussed about Android Apps, we will now discuss about the website from where you can easily download free and brilliant looking wallpapers.
HD Wallpapers
HdWallpapers is a website which both looks good and performs good. Its interface is simple, neat and easy to use. This site will not annoy you by showing any kinds of Ads. It has a great collection of Wallpapers in different categories. This site is absolutely free and you can easily download any wallpaper from different genres. It offers you a huge list of resolutions for each wallpaper from where you easily select which one you want to download.
As you can see on the right side of the screen, it also offers you to browse wallpapers as per your needed resolution by clicking on the resolution tab. It also offers you a long list of different categories from where you can browse the wallpaper you like. I would personally recommend you to check out the "Fantasy" category. It really contains some great looking wallpapers. It offers you the wallpapers of even 8k resolutions and also for UHD monitors as can be seen in the description of the site above. I only use wallpapers downloaded from this site only on my PC and I get a lot of compliments from my friends. I would also recommend you to try this one.
